Birthday Stuffs!
Last week was my birthday, which I tend to be indifferent about. However, my friends and family had other plans in mind. My one friend and her kids got me a Hello Kitty cake which was too adorable. It was so sweet of them.
My mother also had plans of her own. She too loves to knit, and is the one who got me into knitting. So, being the loving mother that she is and the great enabler of all things crafsty, she got me The Principles of Knitting by June Hemmons Hiatt. It is supposed to be very thorough, so it will probably be quite useful in the projects I will be working on. I have to force myself not to read it until finals are over.
My mother also got me a gift certificate to Creatively Dyed Yarn. Her yarn is beautiful, and I really wanted to get some when I was at the Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival (which I highly recommend attending). I am having such a hard time deciding what to choose.
